Working as a junior designer at a dispensary has given me an opportunity to explore my style of design in a new way. For 420, I created a mascot-type character that is a call back to the time period when the term “420” was created by some cannabis-loving college kids, the 70’s. The “weed guy” character I created has hints of 70’s style with his sweatband around his head and retro tube socks with the iconic stripes at the top.

The T-shirt is more in line with what is popular in today’s clothing graphics. I wanted juxtaposition with the hard lines of the dispensaries logo to mix with soft and more organic shapes and the truly organic form of human hands and skull.
